The Impact of Stigmatization on Mental Health

Mental Wellness Virtual Roundtable

January 24, 2024, 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET

The goal of the Mental Wellness Virtual Roundtable is to promote good mental health and break the stigma of mental health disorders. The discussion emphasizes the importance of addressing the impact of HIV stigmatization on mental health in Hispanic communities.

Field experts focus their discussion on the health education necessary to reduce HIV stigma and promote testing, prevention, and treatment in the community from a psychosocial point of view. The event was featured as an informal roundtable and highlighted patient-provider relationships pertaining to mental health & HIV treatment & care. NHMA provides a platform for expert speakers to share their knowledge and perspectives and engaged with our diverse audience from across the nation, who are interested in the intersectionality between mental health and HIV care, particularly within the Hispanic and other underserved communities.

The opinions expressed by these speakers are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of NHMA.
