Dr. Nellie Correa is an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women's Health and in Family and Social Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is the past Chair of the Board of the National Hispanic Medical Association and maintains an active practice in the Bronx at the Jacobi/North Central Bronx Medical Center.

Ana Maria Lopez, MD, MPH, MACP, FRCP (London)

Dr. Lopez is a board-certified medical oncologist and health services researcher with expertise in women's cancers, integrative oncology and health equity. An NHMA Leadership Fellow and Fellow of the Year, she has served on the boards of the NHMA and NHHF and has dedicated her career to health care transformation.

Associate Editor

Dr. Johansson is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric critical care physician and current chairman of the board of the National Hispanic Medical Association. Born to immigrants from Honduras and Sweden, he earned his MD from Tulane University and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from City University of New York.

Ricardo Correa, MD, EdD, FACP, FAPCR, CMQ

Dr. Correa serves as fellowship director of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism; director of patient outreach and belonging; director of longitudinal curriculum; director of mentoring and belonging; and clinical professor of medicine at the Lerner College of Medicine of CWRU at Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Esteban-Cruciani is a board-certified pediatrician and physician leader in pediatric hospital medicine, currently serving as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson University and PNU Medical Director at JEPH-Nemours Children's Health. Throughout her career she has been dedicated to advancing health equity and improving outcomes for vulnerable children.

Alejandra is a medical student at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, pursuing a scholarly concentration in Medical Social Justice. She hopes to pursue a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery and one day work with Doctors Without Borders to provide surgical care to underserved communities worldwide.

Rafael is a seventh-year (G5) MD-PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He holds a B.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.S. in BioEngineering from Syracuse University. His research focuses on liver tissue engineering models for high-throughput drug screening using lab-on-chip technologies and additive manufacturing, with clinical interests in Transplant Medicine and Aerospace Medicine.
