The NHMA 40 Under 40 Award recognizes outstanding physicians under the age of 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, innovation and commitment to improving the health and well-being of underserved communities with Hispanic population focus. Honorees exemplify excellence in clinical care, advocacy, education, research and community engagement while advancing health equity and culturally responsive care.

Eligibility +
  • Must be a physician under the age of 40 at the time of nomination
  • Demonstrated connection to or significant impact on Hispanic health or communities
  • Must be a current NHMA member

  • Narrative explaining what the nominee has contributed and why they deserve this recognition (max 1 page)
  • Letter of support or recommendation (optional)
