The NHMA Alliance is a mission-driven nonprofit committed to increasing workforce diversity, promoting health equity and improving the health and well-being of Hispanic, Latino and underserved communities. As the charitable arm of the National Hispanic Medical Association, we empower Hispanic and Latino physicians and allied health professionals to lead transformative efforts in health care.

Our work spans career development, leadership and educational training opportunities for college and medical students, residents, doctors and allied health care professionals. Through advocacy at the federal, state and local levels, and strategic collaborations with medical, academic and community-based organizations, as well as public and private partners, we remain committed to improving health outcomes for our communities.

Our Priorities

We focus on three strategic pillars that drive meaningful change for Latino health:

What You're Supporting

Your contribution powers transformative programs and campaigns that change lives:

  • College Health Scholars Program (CHSP): Mentorship, education and career development for Latino pre-health and medical students.
  • NHMA Advancing Physician Leaders Fellowship: Training Latino healthcare professionals in advocacy, leadership and health equity initiatives.
  • Community-Based Research: Collaborations that elevate Latino voices in health studies and interventions.
  • Public Health Campaigns: Bilingual, culturally tailored materials and outreach efforts improving health literacy and access.

Together we are advancing health equity, cultivating leadership and building a healthier future for all communities.
