Chapter Co-Chair

Dr. Rebecca Rivera earned her medical degree from UCLA, completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Bakersfield. Upon completion of residency, she started private practice and continued as teaching faculty at the Kern residency program. She served as chair of the minimally invasive gynecology department, chair of wellness for obstetrics and gynecology, and Program Director of obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Rivera returned to the private sector and is co-chair of the Central California Chapter of the National Hispanic Medical Association and co-chair of the Latinx Medical Advisory Committee. Her scope of practice includes minimally invasive gynecology and routine and high-risk prenatal care. She provides care in a linguistically and culturally sensitive manner, advocating for her patients and delivering comprehensive women’s health services from adolescence through menopause with compassion, empathy, and respect.
