NHMA Council of Young Physicians

The NHMA Council of Young Physicians (CYP) welcomes NHMA physician members who graduated less than five years ago from U.S Residency/Fellowship Training.

Mission: CYP is a platform for NHMA young physicians to meet and network in order to advance as future leaders in medicine and to advocate for the needs of our Latino community. 

Who We Are
Our members are physicians from any specialty that completed training over the last 5 years. Our leadership consists of Chair, Co-Chair, Director of Communications, and Regional Representatives.

Awards
2025 Young Physician of the Year Award: Twelve outstanding young physicians (less than 5 years out of U.S. residency/fellowship training), two from each region will receive the NHMA Young Physician of the Year Award for constant advancement toward a career goal, extraordinary commitment to serving the Hispanic community, and participation in NHMA as a member or future member - to be presented at our 27th Annual Conference in Anaheim, California March 21-23, 2025.
