The National Hispanic Medical Association (NHMA) organized two Community Health Fairs in 2024 aimed at promoting health and wellness among Hispanic and Latino communities. These events provided access to a wide range of comprehensive services, including health screenings, vaccinations, and more! On November 23, 2024, NHMA hosted the vibrant Fort Worth, Texas Healthy Families Health Fair, providing vital health services to over 100 community members. Highlights of the event included administering more than 60 flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, conducting blood glucose screenings, performing 50 blood pressure checks, and offering HIV testing. Participants also received COVID-19 test kits and over 500 bilingual immunization flyers. This impactful event exemplified NHMA’s commitment to promoting equitable access to preventive care and health education, significantly enhancing the well-being of the community. Browse Photos! On October 12, 2024, in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, NHMA proudly hosted a successful Community Health Fair, demonstrating its commitment to advancing community health through accessible services and strategic partnerships. The event welcomed approximately 50 community members and featured impactful collaborations with Metro Health and the HOYA Clinic, which provided free flu vaccinations and blood pressure screenings. Giant Pharmacy administered both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, while HBI-DC offered cholesterol and A1C screenings. Additionally, COVID-19 test kits were distributed to attendees.
